As I reflect on the culmination of this semester's journey into technology applications, I find myself overwhelmed with a sense of accomplishment and growth. Throughout the course, I encountered various tools and platforms that both excited and challenged me, ultimately providing a valuable skill set that I am eager to carry forward into my career as a librarian and graduate student.

Among the myriad of technology applications explored, Animoto emerged as a standout favorite. The creative possibilities it offered, particularly evident in the book trailer I crafted for "Concrete Rose," sparked my enthusiasm. Animoto not only allowed me to visually convey the essence of the book but also showcased my storytelling skills in a dynamic and engaging manner. This newfound ability to harness technology for storytelling aligns seamlessly with my role as a librarian, where I strive to make literature accessible and compelling to students.

Another highlight of the semester was the collaborative venture into podcasting. Conducting my first school podcast, in collaboration with classmates, was nothing short of a blast. The experience not only honed my communication skills but also opened a door to a powerful medium that I foresee utilizing in the future. Podcasting, with its potential for reaching a wide audience, is a tool that I believe will greatly benefit students by providing an alternative and captivating way to absorb information.

However, not every endeavor was without its challenges, and the comic strip maker assignment stands out as the most demanding for me. The frustration I encountered during this task was amplified by the decision not to upgrade, a choice that might have altered the experience. While it presented hurdles, the comic strip maker taught me the importance of adaptability and resourcefulness in navigating technology challenges.

As I look back on the semester, I am filled with gratitude for the wealth of information gained. Each technology application, whether a favorite like Animoto or a challenging experience like the comic strip maker, contributed to a holistic understanding of how technology can be wielded in the realm of education and librarianship. This knowledge, I am confident, will be an asset in both my immediate professional endeavors and my pursuit of further education as a graduate student.

This semester has been a transformative journey, equipping me with a diverse set of technological skills. The excitement of creating captivating book trailers, the thrill of podcasting, and the resilience built through overcoming challenges have collectively shaped a robust foundation for my future endeavors. As I move forward, I carry with me the belief that these technology applications will not only benefit me personally but will also enhance the learning experiences of the students I serve.
